Looking for:
|
I'd like to acquire at least the faceplate, or (depending on price) the entire OEM radio for a 74-78 Z ( 260Z or 280Z.)
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks!....Mark

Would you happen to know the model #? I have a Hitachi K(?)-1821ZF AM/FM that came from a supply of parts from a 78 280. Not sure if it is the original radio, but it does have an antenna switch in it, and is in great shape. Can send pics if needed.

Hi there, and thanks for your reply.
I've had a difficult time determining the exact model number of the original 260Z radio. I've seen references to a Hitachi 1520, and a Hitachi 2101. Frankly they all look identical to me, and I think that with some "tweaks" to the wiring harness, any would work.
I have a complete radio from a '72 240Z, but the faceplate won't work in the 260Z. That's why I'd like to try to get a 260/280Z faceplate that I'd then try to use with the radio I already have.
That said, I completely understand that someone probably doesn't want to separate a faceplate from their radio.
If it's not too much trouble, please send me a photo of the Hitachi 1821. Thanks!.....Mark
