I am selling my 1977 280Z due to several heart attacks. This was my dream car from my early age but I waited too late get her. The car is In Atlanta.
I bought the car in May 2008 from the original owner and the odometer at that time read 137,359 miles and today it reads 164,208. I can not be sure that it did not been turn over before I bought it.
This is not a race car but will easily cruise the interstate at 95 MPH. I have driven it to Nashville and back easily with no problems about five or six times.
Here is a summary of work I have had done to the Z since 2008 followed by a more detailed list of items I have kept of fixes or additions. I have tried to keep it as close to original looking as I can.
1. Has not required any engine work at all.
2. Replaced the 4 Speed transmission with a 5 speed transmission
3. Disc brakes in bake
4. New radiator
5. new starter (not original though)
6. Painted GM Red/Orange in fall 2008
7. Has a crack in the dash so a full dash cover is on the dash
8. Replaced rims with good original rims
9. has a wooden 240Z steering wheel
10. new carpet and seat covers and seat cushions
11. Tires 1.5 years old (low mileage -- about 12K)
12. New stereo with speaker box behind the seats with 6x9s and 10" sub, 10s are in the doors and the CD player has an Ipod input
13. Dark tinted windows.
- Does not leak any fluids
- Does not burn any oil
- All lights and switches work except the rear window defogger does not work
- Cold AC with Honda blower wheel for a little more blowing power
- Gets about 20MPG on the highway
